A Few words about

SBT Design

Designer – Maker

Steve Tomlin – SBT Design – cabinet maker

With over 28 years of experience and a workshop established in Beckley since 2009, I’ve dedicated my career to the art of bespoke furniture. While my techniques are rooted in tradition, the workshop is busier than ever.

Whether it’s a Walnut media cabinet or a custom-veneered dining table, every piece I’m working on this season receives the same obsessive attention to detail that has defined SBT Design for nearly three decades. I am currently collaborating with clients across East Sussex and Kent to bring new 2026 projects to life—from initial 3D CAD designs to the final hand-finish.

Working closely with clients we create unique storage and furniture solutions using fine hardwoods, veneers and sustainable materials. Covering the local areas including Rye, Tenterden, Cranbrook, Battle, Hastings, Tunbridge
Wells, Robertsbridge and all inbetween.
